How to calculate values of R,L & C i/p, o/p & stabilise of Microwave LNA

Dear Sir,
I want to design the microwave low noise amplifier , using transistor is ATF54143_3v_60mA.
I have designed the microwave low noise amplifier (LNA) with input matching, output matching and stabilse device blindly. I don't know how to get the values of R,L and C of the input matching, output matching and stable device , can you help me anybody ,how to find the values of R,L and C of MICROWAVE LNA. Here with I am attaching the input matching circuit, output matching circuit and stable device.

It depends on your frequency. What is it?

If you design an LNA, you should consider "Noise Matching" for input.
Read something about LNA design...

tony_lth Sir,

I am designing frequency range from 1.3 GHz to 1.4GHz , Is there any formula to calculate the R, L and C for Input matching, output matching and stabilty and biasing. If you please explain in detail.

Bigboss Sir ,
I have read entire thing of microwave transistor amplifier design in the POZER and Gonzelez. I have to yet read Vendelin.G.D., If you have that book please provide me PDF format, please help me how designe above LAN i/p , o/p matching and biasing.

For 1.3G LNA, it's very low freq, so you can use lumped elements to design.
Use Smith Chart to design the NFmin for the input.
Then you can get the input LC value etc. Remember to verify the design with actual LC model from vendor.
In ADS, there are two indicators to indicate the stability, that is two Mu factors.

Tony_lth Sir,
Actualy I am using AWR MWO software, as you told that by using smith charts we can design LNA. Using SMITH cahrts how to get the values of L and C. As given in DAVID .M.POZAR book we can build the input matching and output matching using microstrip lines ( we get the series line length and open circuited length). But how to get L and C values for the i/p and o/p matching ckt. In which book they have given details about calculations of finding L and c values of i/p and o/p matching ckt.

HI, btv,
There should be in the book called "microwave technologies basis" or some books related to Smith Chart.
You can also search in the Internet to get how to design LNA, and there are many exapmles on the net.
Good luck.

Maybe u can try to ues ADS,and it's smith chart, that could help u do the matching.

yes, ADS smith chart can automatically design a two-elements match for you. That may be enough for LNA. Just be careful about the Zs and ZL and the options for their conjugate impedance. Search one LNA design and you know it.

tony_lth Sir,
But I am familiar with MWO software, I don't know, how to use ADS. If you know , how to use MWO for finding the lumped element for LNA

You can also use a Smtih Chart in Paper form to calculated the values for the Lumped Componets!

For a two-elements match, there are four variants of the combinations.
For a three-elemnets match, there are eight variants of the combinations. The problem is that it's difficult to find the most optimal one.
