Calculation of link budget in EMS system

Hi everyone,

I am doing a calculation on the losses in an EMS system for generating an electric field, I understanding that there are losses in cables depending on frequency. However I dont quite know what are the information that I need to look out for in components in the system(such as signal gen , amplifier , directional coupler, power meter and antenna) that I need to consider to calculate the gain or loss. Appreciate any advice/ articles given Thanks

Look for noise, copper loss < not only do we have cable loss due to frequency but due to heat as well! that's far all there is together with that wich you mentioned already!

also Look at the signal to noise ration of the amplifier.
