Design tip for SAW TAG Reader ( passive SAW Sensor Tag )

In my company we think about the developing a reader for passive SAW Tag (resonator type not delay line type)
The target frequency is in the 430MHz range.

Its my task do develope this reader.

If someone have som tip /schematic which can be shared it would be helpfull.
At this time i'm in the research phase / look which Ic's could be used / whichj type of design....etc.
Every information could be helpfull.

Sorry - on this topic i'm total new - thatswhy my generic questions.
