How can I know the location of a UHF passive tag?

时间:04-04 整理:3721RD 点击:
Hello Everyone,

I have a UHF system in which there is a reader with a fixed antenna. So I have to read many UHF passive tags and to know where they are, the exactly location. So how can I know the location? Also, I would like to know if an one direction antenna can be a solution, if there is a UHF waveguide to attach into my antenna.

Many thanks in advance.

Triangulation by multiple antennae or by moving RX
position / orientation, looking for field strength?

Tags don't know where they are, themselves. You
are asking for direction- and range-finding. Those
can be bothered by multipath, reflection, absorbtion
by "stuff in the middle" so you might need to develop
a site map before anything else (or in concert with
developing your algorithm and equipment-set.

Getting it done with 1 RX where it sits, as it sits, and
no more knowledge of the plant, seems unlikely.

I would not think it unlikely, though, that somebody
is already selling a solution to this interest and their
marketing / tech-chumming material might provide
you a free education in the art.
