Hello, everybody. Can anyone tell me what amount of power may be used in patch antennas and what factors need to be taken into account when calculating forementioned power.
It depends from structure. Patch antennas are different. But mainly Ohm low. P=U x I.
On our radaraltimeter it is about 50 W on 4 patches ( freq. 4,3 GHz ).

Thanks all of you, but how do I determine the max current that may be used in patch antenna, what are factors it depends on?
Factors are a lot. Loses, efficient but in your case with working frequency below 5GHz and pow up to 1KW no problem
I need to know if I can use 150 W of power (to transmit) in patch at freq 4.6 GHz
Of course that is only 86V RMS AC or DC.
Thank you very much. But where'd you get that information? Is it from your experience?
No, It`s from primary school, Ohm low.
