ds1307 read and write

I am confused about the read and write addresses in the DS1307 to be
I have been looking at the data sheet, but still don?t understand the addressing!

my clock show the time in 24hour mode...i want to change in 12 hour mode....how i set the bit....

you can make the 6th bit of hour register(02h of ds1307) as 1 for 12 hour mode..
