Cascode Power Amplifier
It seems that the cascode PA topology allows to double the nominal drain supply voltage that a single transistor can handle.
Does anyone of you know ?

I attached a related paper. On page 370 they mention that Vds is twice the practical supply voltgage.

If you presume that the safe Vdd level will be limited by maximum Vdg rather than Vds, then a cascode amplifier allows higher Vdd values, because the gate doesn't swing against drain node. That's not the strong effect discussed in the otherwise quoted "self-balancing cascode" papers, but still valuable.
But I don't see that the Vdd factor two stated in the text is supported by the comparative tables.
