Hi guys,
I'm doing a project designing microwave oscillator using negative feedback topology with frequency at 13 GHz. I found an example in ADS 2008 which can generate frequency at 7.824GHz. That example is using BJT and I know for microwave frequency it is preferably to use GaAs Mosfet.
My question is, is it possible when I change that BJT with my choice of GaAs Mosfet, and then play around the value of other components (resistor, capacitor, inductor, etc), that example circuit can turn out to produce 13GHz as I needed? Anyone has doing that before?
Thanks

If you can find a proper GaAs like pHEMT, of course it's feasible..
Look at www.avagotech.com or www.renesas.com
Thank you man. I really hope i can work
