please explain me that how white light is formed in an led? i found some answers like it is actually blue led with phosphor coating .the blue colour when falls on phosphor atoms generate yellow colour and now when this yellow and blue colour gets mixed then it generates white colour . but i think, red , green , blue together forms white .. is not it ... plz explain.. and plz give me any info regarding the type of phosphor used here .
Yellow plus Blue generates White, so, I think that what you first said is correct.
About the blue light interacting with the phosphor coating and generating Yellow light, I'm not sure.. Honestly, I do not know.
Edit - After a quick search on google, I found this: http://www.intematix.com/technology/phosphor-technology
So, I guess that it is correct.
Hi,
This is a very special question about LED manufacturing.
Maybe here is a person who can answer. But i′d try to search directely at LED manufacturers for this information,
Or
try at wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light-emitting_diode
