Mixer Load Questions

时间:04-04 整理:3721RD 点击:
I found a mixer as attachment.
I am curious about the load of the mixer. How to determine R1 and R3?
As the load of the mixer and LO, R1 should be 51R, but I found R1=8.2 ohm is the maximum IF signal.
Also I am confusion about the R3, it should be 330+ ohms for not divide signal, but I found R3=33 ohm is the maximum IF signal.
How to interpret R1 and R3?

I don't think that a ring diode mixer can work properly in this configuration, without transformers.
All the applications of HSMS-2829 looks like this:

Hi, Vfone,
Nice to hear your reply.
But I really made the circuit and it really works.
When I tuned R1 and R3, I got different IF signal level.
So what is the meanings of R1 and R3?
Many thanks.

Almost anything will work in a fashion.

If you are really serious about high performance, like carrier rejection, signal to noise ratio, or minimising spurious mixer products, local oscillator drive level and the impedances of all ports become increasingly important.

Hi, Warpspeed,
I can try different impedances one by one, but I want to know from theory, how to optimize it?
