I am trying to simulate a CPW circuit in Momentum and I would like to know the characteristic impedance of it. Is it calculated by momentum from the ports? I have seen some simulations where a parameter appears as Z0 in the simulation, but it is not appearing always.
Use LineCalc (or some other non-included tool). I don't think Momentum can do it directly.
You can evaluate Z0 by open-short method.
thank you both for the replies.
Is this a method of calculation for Z0?
If you have CLID package from ADS, you can calculate as well.
Yes.
You can get {s11,s12,s21,s22} from Momentum.
Then convert {s11,s12,s21,s22} to {A,B,C,D}.
Here Z0=sqrt(B/C)
