HFSS radiator with PEC background

Hello,
I understand that in HFSS one could have as background PEC and still analyze a radiator.
Say I have a cylindrical waveguide with an open end. I would just build the vacuum cylinder and put a radiation box on one end. Not sure how this would work.
Any suggestions?
