Antenna Array setup in HFSS v9.

Hello everyone,
I'm trying to setup an antenna array in HFSS using the "Antenna Array Setup" feature in the software and had a few questions about the same. These questions are pertaining to the rectangular array setup.
1. Position of the unit cell:
The software asks for one coordinate to define the unit cell. If I have a patch antenna, I've got an area that I want to designate a unit cell, not a particular coordinate. Can somebody throw some light on this?
2. At the end of the setup, there is an option for scan in the U & V directions. What does this mean? I think u can select either this option or select varying phases for the array elements. I understand the varying phases but the scan part is a little confusing. Can somebody elucidate?
If anybody's got an example where setting up an array from a single element is explained, nothing like it!
