doubt in CPW bandpass filter implementation using ie3D
i m sreedhar ,studying M.Tech Communications in NIT Trichy..
I m implementing the following IEEE paper in ie3D
"Coupling Behaviours of Quarter Wavelength Impedance Transformers for Wideband CPW Bandpass Filters. "
I am facing problem with a 50ohm line at the input and output in the layout of the filter..i need the dimensions of the 50 ohm line..
So plz help me in solving this problem as my professor will screw me if i dont complete the project ..
I m attaching
the IEEE paper ,
the ie3D file and
the layout .
So, plz reply me as fast as you can..
IF THERE IS ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE WAY OF IMPLEMENTING THE PAPER IN
MATLAB...PLZ LET ME KNOW..

Hi, sreedhartvs:
There are a few problems in your IE3D geometry file.
1. You define the substrate thickness to be 2.5 mils. The paper indicates it is 25 mils.
2. You defined grounded CPW. The paper did not say it is grounded CPW.
3. You may consider to build a section of 50-ohm CPW line for the input and output, and define (-1, +1, -1) and (-2, +2, -2) ports on the structure.

hi jijan
thanq very much for ur valuable suggestions..
i have made the necessary corrections...
but in my graph...i am getting the value of S11 as only -7 dB instead of -35 dB..can u sort out this problem....
and how can i get the dimensions of fourth order filter
Hi, sreedhartvs:
Here is the IE3D model. The results agree with the measuerd data very well.
Best regards,
plz kindly repost the ie3d model ...
i did nt receive the model
thank you..
Sorry. I forgot to upload the file. Here it is.
