IE3D doubts about spherical coordinate systems

hi all,

please clear me the sperical coordinate systems. in ie3d we are using the theta,phi plane for the radiation patterns.i have attached the word file. which one will give the correct visuvalization?

1. is elevation and vertical plane or same? similarly horizontal and aziumath plane are same?


2. can we take radiation pattern at any degree? eg. e tot at phi=10,90,40 etc

Hi, Kbmanick:

1. Yes. The theta and phi in IE3D are the same as what are in your drawing.
2. At this time, users can only select the the cut at the calculated theta and phi for 2D pattern. It is a good idea to make it for any angle.
