Why rarely anybody gives mathematical expressions to calculate parameters?

i have observed ,ost of the ieee papers. nobody is giving the mathematical expressions to calculate the resonant frequency and other parametrs. simply they are giving the structure and result. even they do not discuss about the working principle.? all the explanation are given by observations only. mainly for CPW fed slot ,pifa, TRIANGULAR SLOTS,CIRCULAR and different shapes etc.


if u find any good tutorials with explanation, thesis,formulae etc....plz share here.

as mentioned in my last mail a closed form analytical expression can only be found for rather simple structures.

For simple antennas (dipole, monopole. e.g.) simple cavities, (sphere, brick e.g) an closed analytical expression can be derived and I'm certain you can find the formulas in any good textbook. If you have more complicated structures, you can do some estimations by assuming some simplification (infinite thin metal parts instead of finite thick ones, infinite GND planes) Hoever for accurate results of real structures you usually need some numerical or semi numerical approaches.

This is why numerical electromagentic codes are so popular and important.
