Structure loses segmentation when imported to CST 2006B

I have a very well segmented structure and when I import this structure (.SAT v14 format) into CST 2006B, the structure is very poorly segmented. Only corner points/dots are vertices, all other are lost.

Imagine (metal) thin sheet area 1cm x 1cm with 1mm segmentation - so 11 points per edge. Now this structure in CST would have only 4 corner points, all others are gone.

What am I doing wrong? Does these points/dots/vertices influence meshing? I believe so...
