Hello everybody,
I'm looking to find the equation of the impedance of a port in a Rectangular Wave Guide in HFSS.
Fo example, when i simulate a RWG i use two WavePorts non normalised at 50 Ohms, and then, HFSS gives me the impedance Zo (depended of the frequency).
I'm wondering what is the exact formula the software use ?
Thanks a lot :)

In HFSS Zpi is calculated for the waveport by default.
hi,
In HFSS, they assume a RWG is connected to you model at the wave port. And I think, in additional, you may have a solution at Chapter III - Microwave Engineering - David M. Pozar after refering to waveport definition in HFSS tutorial.
Regards!
