why are the s parameters sensive to the length of transmission lines that connect to pins of a lange coupler ?

Phase changes, magnitude changes or both?
Magnitude should not cange but phase has to change.

i change the transmission that connect to the pins to
taper , it works ,but a little
the
poblem remains....
