hi.
if i do a power-plane simlation with siwave, then the results look strange.
-in resonant mode analysis, the result amplitude is always between +/-1V. independently of any changes on the PCB. is it a normalised result? for example if there is a 1.8V plane, then what will be the maximum amplitude (at a given resonant mode, at the peak location on the PCB.)
What happens at a powerplane resonance on resonant points? sinewave at +/-Vcc ? or with smaller amlitude? how big is the amplitude? Vhat is the voltage? Vcc+/-dV ?
And the S parameter results at a given point on the plane. what is it? S11?
If I do frequency sweep simulation, then the plane voltage maximum is not +/-1V, but a function of the voltage source voltage, what i connected to the DCDC converter location.
---------
so, whats are the voltage values on the simulations: resonant_modes, and freq._sweep ? AC? DC? normalized? (for 2.5V Vcc, there was a +/-10.58V peak for freq.sw. how is it possible?)
