The Moment method is a general mathematical technique that solves integral equations by transforming the equation into N X N unknowns to be solved.
Regarding electromagnetic simulation thera 3 types of problems to be solved
1. wired structure (it has its own integral equation and implementation algorithm)
2. Conducting structures
3. Dielectric structures
4. Combinations of the above
These structures can be solved either with frequency domain algorithms or time domain algorithms.
the easiest is the frequency domain algorithms for wired and conducting materials.
As for the dielectric structures there are two basic approaches
surface integral equations based on the equivalence princpal
Volume integral equations.
Other than this, if you speak about already made software packages you can use supernec software for wire structures or Zeland for Conducting surface structures.
