RFID tags with excitation foils
Is it possible for RFID tags to have an excitation coil to supply the required voltage to the RFID transponder and then use other RFID readers to get the data from the RFID transponder ?
how is this done in term of design and in term of frequencies ?
Thank you
hi,
This is the working priniciple of an RFID tag . The tag receives the energy from the RFID reader(which transmits a career signal 13.56MHz or 868MHz etc ) through magnetic coupling as in the case of electrical transformers. The tag has an antenna which is designed to collect power (for powering the transponder chip) as well as receiving data.
Refer the attachment for more details.
Dear rajeshkumar123,
What behaviour do you want to detail: The situation where a tag works as a transponder and a transpoder works as a tag? You want to extract data from a transponder?
Is that correct?
HI,
I was answering to andrewmorcos about the working of the tag and how power is transferred from reader to tag
