Simple waveguide design
I have a rather dummy request.
Could someone send HFSS design of a simple rectangular
and circular waveguide, port induced, with proper boundaries?
Sort of school example to observe cut-off frequency, s parameters
and similar.
Thanks in advance.

I would like to see this as well. I know this post is old..someone help?
thanks
I think it will be a great help for those who are jst beginners with HFSS. Hope the elders of this forum will address our queri
hi,
what exactly you want to do with rectangular waveguide?
Design? I dont think it has any design...
Analyzing the farfield equations for a particular waveguide is possible and that waveguide can be simulated in HFSS or any other Electromagnetic software.
First you can refer to HFSS Tutorial in this foum with the topic (If u r not familiar with HFSS)
www.edaboard.com/ftopic157258-150.html
Book- Microwave Antenna Theory and Design by S.Silver is the best book for waveguides.
i have simulated X-band RWG- WG90 and C-band waveguide using HFSS. i can send the files if you want, but don't have any tutor on this....
hi,
here is the simulated file using HFSS, but not a tutor. It is X-band waveguide with 22.86mm width, 10.16mm height and length doesn't matter, in my case it may be around 50mm.
if you want any help in creating the model, post a reply....
hi there,
I am working out a model for a rectangular waveguide, but I am having some problems.
I worked out two designs
1) just a wr with finite conductive condition on the walls
2)a wr completely surrounded by another wr made by gold
I have same results from S21, but the S11 are different.
Any help out there?
