Hi,
I have several stl files consisting of thousands of cuboids that need to load into HFSS 11. After loading, the solid structures defined in stl came out to be 2D sheets. I found posts about this problem in this forum, and people were talking about a layermap file that come along with stl file and define the sheet thickness. Can anyone please give more detailed information on how to do that?
I can't do "sweep along vector" to grow solids out of sheets, since my structure is irregular in all three dimensions. I also can not draw directly in HFSS since there are too many boxes to deal with.
I also tried loading stl into CST and save as SAT file. HFSS can load these SAT files without generating sheets, however there are many face, edge and vortex errors with the solid structure. If you auto heal the solid, those damn 2D sheets come up again.
I would appreciate it if anyone can kindly try the attached stl file.
Any advice or experience to share on this is more than welcome. Thanks!

Sorry, should be this file. Those stl files generated by ASCII can not load into HFSS at all.
