Probe design help pls!

someone pls help me..whats wrong with my design..i use L-probe to simulate my design..unfortunately the return loss is not convincing..i attached the .geo and .spt below....thanx

erm..i jus wondering if i design using L-probe..the dielectric should be Air?can i put another value other than 1 (air) between ground plane and patch in ie3d..hope someone will help..thx..

It depends on your design. Can be air or any other dielectric material.

yes you can. in the Basic parameters define the Finite dielectic types (E_r). Then select the plane (in your case the gnd plane) and from adv edit go to "define dielectic calls". Give the z values of the dielectric and select "keep original polygons after ....". That's all. Now from 3D view, you can see the dielectric. However, bear in mind that it takes much time to simulate when using dielectric.

shameem

thanx shameem!
