UC-EBG in CST

Hello friends,
I want to design UC-EBG using CST. My working frequency range is from 4 to 5 GHz. I've seen few papers but their frequencies are quite high 8+. Is there any general design rule which we can apply (similar to mushroom type EBG) so that the operating frequency of UC-EBG can be manipulated?? If someone got any useful design notes or CST model for UC-EBG, I would appreciate it. I am looking for UC-EBG beacause I want via-less design which can provide both the zero reflection phase and surface wave stop band-gap for desired frequencies.
