even odd mode ads

Hello, friends.

I would like to design a direction coupler at a center frequency of 2.6 GHz.
I prefer to simulate the strukture in the HFSS software. But i am not clear with the definition of the even and odd mode port definition.
Can anyone give me some suggestions or send me some examples?
