RAM Limitation Problem in HFSS 13
Please Help me...
Bekusal, I think you have 32-bit operating system in you computer. A 32 bit OS can only use 4GB of memory total. Although you have 16GB RAM but that is not fully used.
Only 2.93Gb usable of my 4Gb RAM?
@Yadav, thank you sir for reply..
Sir i have already gone through this thing, this is an 64 bit os and it is using complete 16GB of main memory.
As i heard recently about the solution of this problem, that can be solve by choosing the DESIRE RAM limitation, because hfss performs swapping on its own, without rely on an OS. According to this i have changed my temp folder location to the 100GB vacant partition of my pc, because that space and available main memory decides the execution boundaries.
But i still dont know what exact values should i use..
help me out...

any buddy from great edaboard members, who has good hands on hfss or antenna designing, please drop your contact detail to private message box. This is a humble request from an unaided student..
please help..
I would tend to leave those at the default 0, which is unlimited. Have you looked in hfss to see how much ram is being used. You can get it somewhere on the "HFSS" menu of "HFSS". You can get real-time information on the convergence, RAM usage etc. I forget exactly where it is, and don't have HFSS on a machine close by.
Can you post the file.
Thank you DEBORA.HARRY Sir,
i have attached a snapshot, please analyse this, i hope this will be helpful for us to understand the problem.
Now one thing that i seen the same model with small dimensions get simulates but as i increase the parameters it shows an error "Metrix solver exception: out of disk space"
Image
It appears that this simulation is HUGE! The first pass is already trying to swap onto the harddrive. It may be best for you to post your project as it may not be set up ideally
