assigning of multiple ports in HFSS

If i assign multiple ports say 10 wave ports so the software should excite the structure with all the ports ,but the ports assigned first will only be able to exite... why?

By default, HFSS only inserts power into the first port defined. To change this, go to HFSS -> Fields -> Edit Sources and modify the magnitude and phase of the sources as desired :)
