Hi I am simulating or at least I am trying to simulate a periodic crystal with a defect line.
Initially, I know how to extract the intensity of the electromagnetic modes. However, there is no any obvious way to extract the real and imaginary part of the modes using only bandsolve. I have read the manual for bandsolve and it is nothing there about it. I can not understand why Bandsolve has the option to calculate the intensity of the field and not the amplitude and phase. I am sure that this is possible with just editting some property in the initial index file.
If someone had the same problem and solved it succesfully by using plain wave expansion in Bandsolve, i would be glad to follow the suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
