Hello,
I have 2 doubts
1)The ground plane - Is it always a box or a rectangle.
2) I have drawn poly line sheet cutout and a box.I want to subtract box and poly line sheet. But If I try to subtract, I get the message - "Solid blank is unaffected by tool operation. So, I make the thickness of the box zero and then subtract and the problem i solved. Is it correct to make the thickness of the box as zero and then subtract.
Regards,
Avi

1. I think it doesn't matter to either using box or rectangular sheet as ground plane, in case you make sure it has full perfect_E boundaries, as well as μ and ε=1. The thickness doesn't matter.
2. in hfss, you can either doing "box-box" or " sheet-sheet". "box-sheet" is not allowed. box with a 0 thickness=sheet.
Hi
I am also facing same problem. I can not subtract a polyline from a box.
can anyone please suggest what should be done in this case when I want to subtract a polyline structure from a box ?
Thanks!
