Areas exceeding saturation flux density in FEM simulation

Hello folks,
i have got a question for which i didnt find a satisfying answer yet.
If a magnetic material is specified with a maximum flux density of lets say 1.6T and in the simulation only a few inner spots of the core have a density reaching this value but the overall average density is much lower can the core be used in this application or has the flux density has to stay below the absolute values at any point of the geometry?
