how to draw bending in HFSS

Hello
I want to bend my helix to have a intersect between rod and my helix shape.how can I do it without any discontinuity appear.

I draw a bend but It has some problems

as you see it doesn't have a flat surface to connect helix to rod and here I want to connect both regular polyhedron
