New material defining
http://csttutorial.blogspot.com/
Sometimes you need to define new material because it is not available in the library of CST so you must do right click on the material > new material in the navigation tree and allocate the properties of your new material in this window. But sometimes I have the imaginary and real part of one material in different frequency so in this case you should do the same way I said before but after that select dispersion and User (dispersion list) and write or load your properties of material. The file that you can load could be from matlab or from excel (saved in text(tab.delimited) format).
how to define a new material depends on what knowledge of material you have for example if you know the resistance or current properties of your material , you must go this way:
right click on material in navigation tree>new material>general> type > surface imp > properties
if you have impedance , write the imaginary and real part of that in font of frequency but if you have current you have to change it to impedance and then write the impedance in this window.
Yes it is correct and also to define new material you should ave the knowledge of tat material properties like permittivity, permeability, conductivity and loss tangent, and is the new material is frequency dependent or independent also important, then try for defining new material is better.
