Dear all,
I'm doing a simulation for a cylindrical cavity with 8-slots corrugated walls (magnetron cavity) on the HFSS V. 9.0 But unfortunately, I'm facing some troubles !!
What I'm trying to get right now is to evaluate the resonance frequencies of this magnetron cavity and compare those resonance frequencies with the output of a Matlab code that i made.
The HFSS problem is an eigenmode problem, so i should put a solution setup before start the solution,
the setup parameters are:
1- the min. freq. that the simulation will start with.
2- max. no. of passes.
3- max. delta frequency.
4- converge to real frequency or not ( check box).
5- use free space lambda or not (check box).
6- use low order solution basis (check box).
THE PROBLEM:
1- The results are much different than the resonance frequencies of any cavity that can be calculated analytically (using basic microwave lows).
2- The results are much different than the resonance frequencies that are calculated by the Matlab code.
3- The HFSS results itself is very close , they seems to be the same mode !!
I really don't know what to do !! this is my last step in my research but i cant go through. so please, if you could help, send me a reply soon.
Note: i will attach the model that I'm trying to solve, maybe you could help.
