Hi All
I am building a magnetotrictive distant meter for a hobby at home. The problem is that the coil I am using is not picking up the twist in the nickel wire. The nickel wire is made out of nickel 205. I'm sending a 1us 0.5A pulse down the wire and the length of the wire is 500mm. Further more I'm using a thin tape 0.5mm of nickel 205 wire that is vertical mounted onto the wire with the coil surrounding it. Are there any info on how to make this coil? or what am I doing wrong.

what is the current status of your work, had any success sensing the twist? pls update.
