See through wall imaging
I have been hearing about see through wall imaging, but there are too few a resources about it. Does any body have some experience or knowledge about the concepts used ?
Most of the articles talk about sending a narrow UWB pulse and receiving it, then through image processing technique they can identify the object. But this seems extremely complicated and has so many variables such as the wall thickness, materials, moving objects ? For me, it is an extremely difficult inverse problem ?!
Thank you in advance and best regards,
Adel
hi
is it possible to see through walls via uwb?
i'm making my undergradute finishing project as designing an uwb antenna so if you know anything about it it would be really appreciated and thanked
Yes. I attended a local chapter monthly meeting in SF Bay Area last year. Some researcher from Lawrence Livermore demonstrated some pictures showing a UWB device detecting beating heard in collapsed concrete, and some persons behind a thick concrete wall. The pictures also show some wireless video receiption with transmitter a few stories down inside a carbinet of a ship while the receiver is on the board. You know the doors of the carbins are closed with steels. There might be some small gaps. UWB signals can go thru. It is amazing.
so it might be the future
what you think about this?
is it a good area to work in?
