FEM/FIT comparison

Hi there!

1) Anyone knows if there's a document or survey that compares basic advantages/disadvantages of Finite Element Method against Finite Integration Technique?

Any references or tips are welcome ! :)

2) Someone maybe has the original paper introducing FIT (from Weiland):

I have not any information about FIT. However It is seems that by comaring the density and condition number of matrices in the both alghoritm, we can copmare both methods.
