Anyone there use NEW HFSS Designer

I HAVE DOWNLOADED A CRA VER.
YOU CAN FIND THE INFORMATION ON THE ansoft OFFICIAL WEBSITE.

HFSS is not included in the new ver Ansoft Designer.

Yeah, as far as I could get from the Ansoft website, Designer is a combination of Ensemble and Serenade, in other words Method of Moments field solver integrated in a Spice simulator. The newest version
of HFSS is 9.0 and I can't find it anywhere. 8)

It will be interesting to know how does Ansoft Designer compare with Microwave Design studio. Anyone done any evaluation on these softwares?

Has anyone noticed that Ansoft had put a free version Ansoft Designer SV on the web site?

Despite the limitations, it is good to get used to program
before we get a full version.
I have not downloaded it, as my internet connection sucks.

Downloaded the SV version the other day. When a port was right clicked, it crashed. Don't know anything else yet.

It was said there should be a JAVA script, but can't find any useful information in help, except a small example.

The new designer looks pretty interesting. There is some nice synthesis tools and the planer EM simulator looks nice. I cannot wait to see HFSS v9! I wish they would release this soon!
