Loop antenna simulation in IE3D
I would have expected to get higher gain with a conjugate match than with 50 ohm, is there something flawed in my use of IE3D or understanding of antennas?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA, Gerry.
Hi, Gerry: I think I replied to you earlier. You might have posted the question here and sent it to me directly. Basically, it is due to the fact that gain defined in IE3D takes into account of the mismatch to the normalization impedance. For conjugate matching, you may expect the gain to be larger than the gain defined on IE3D. Both ways are correct. However, you need to interpret them correctly.

please let meknow, whre i can download IE3D + patching
