I have a question:
How MWS calculate the farfield?
As I understand, I need to integrate the 3D fields on open boundaries by Huygens method to obtain the radiation pattern, but when I try to export the corresponding field to file and integrate this field by my own program, I receive results widely different than calculated by MWS. Why MWS calculate the phase center before farfield computation? I can only suppose, that MWS ignores R-component of field and takes into account only θ and φ components, but it looks wrong. When I tried to simulate the radiation from open end of flanged rectangular waveguide, I obtain the absurd results (see attached MWS ver. 5 project), especially in E-plane. Can anybody enlight me?
Kit.
