Tow questions about HFSS
2. How to calculate the magnetic flux and electric flux in HFSS?
I hope someone can give me some advice about them.
Thanks a lot!
Hello :
If you have acqueintance about the concept of E-plane & H-plane in HFSS you can use it for your Analysis . for example if you want to define a tangential E-field on a surface you can consider that surface as H-plane surface .
good luck.
Thanks for your advice, but I cannt understand what is the E-plane & H-plane in HFSS. Can you kindly send some reference about it for me?
As you said, can I calculate a tangential E-field by Et=n×H? (n is the normal of the surface)
Thanks. Best regards.
Hello :
As you know : the E-plane means Perfect Electrical Plane , that is , a plane which is perfectly conductor with respect to Electric field and also about H-plane . so the E-field is verticaly placed on an E-plane and also about H-plane .
For example : for analising a coax cable you can consider the shield as an E-plane which is only a closed surface around the dielectric . if you want to know more about it you can use the HFSS help .
but if you want compute the exact quantity of the Et on a surface you should penetrate the menu of the computation and specialy plot section . in fact , I don't have enough informaton right now , but I try to help you more in future .
regards.
Thanks for your help. I will upload my HFSS object and two papers relatived tomorrow. For that it is more clearly and deeply known about my problem.
regards.
