MWS5.1 have 64bit only for the AMD but I suggest you

If you just use it for MW circuit design, a general P4 processor is enough.
When i use MWS to design MS circuit, The most time spended thing is the optimose process! :)

along with a good processor good amount of ram helps preferable 1Gb dual channel is good for speed

Intel Xeon seems more faster than Opteron.

I would use the IBM PowerPC 970fx. It's the fastes personal computer processor in the wrold and it uses less power and generates less heat than earlier models. Take a look at the fact sheet attached.
