Re: IE3D 10 & FIDELITY 4

Yes. We always adds new things. In the above 2 years period, we have released:

For IE3D:
1. IE3D 10.1 in 8/03 (finite dielectrics modeling, etc.);
2. IE3D 10.2 in 12/03 (adaptive EM optimizer, etc);
3. IE3D 11.0 in 2/05 (finite dielectrics in layered substrates; automatic meshing alignment for high accuracy modeling of closely coupled structures; contemporary meshing scheme; multi-layer automatic edge cells; IE3D EM Socket for MWO 2004 for seamless integration; Formula based geometry modeling for easy tuning and optimization; distributed IE3D simulation in mixed Windows and Linux environment.
4. IE3D 11.06 in 5/05 (Automatic GDSII to IE3D Flow allowing script-like automatic geometry creation and simulations directly from Cadence layouts; Generally Efficient Matrix Solver for accurate, efficient and robust simulations of large structures).

For FIDELITY:
We are releasing FIDLEITY 4.3. We will release FIDELITY 5.0 in this year with the following features:
1. Formula based geometry modeling: A user can defines a structure with dimensions as formulas to some basic parameters so that the user can change the dimensions easily.
2. Automatic non-uniform meshing: A user does not need to manually optimize the meshing every time the user changes an object. The program automatically re-creates the optimized meshing.
3. Detail view with complete boolean operations: FIDELITY 4.3 and earlier version performs boolean operation in the meshing level. The result of the boolean operations can not be visualized with detail. The FIDELITY 5.0 will perform boolean opeartions before meshing and the detail will be much clearer.
