directional coupler design please help

I want to know the design procedure of microwave directional coupler design.Mainly the steps that I have to follows.Send me the informations as quickly as possible.I wll use microstrip as transmission line.And the coupling should be 3dB.Also the list of physical material needed to design Directional Coupler.

you can simulale branch line coupler in em simulator and you can reference microwave engineer by pozar.

Very good books about DC is

RF & MW Coupled-Line Circuits (1999) by Bahl.

I recomanded frist simulate Odd and Even Mode impedance for individual sections, and after this model full DC.

Microstrip technology is not very convenient for 3dB directional coupler - low directivity and high precision manufacture. You can use Lange-coupler or Wilkinson-divider.
