Highest resistivity of Silicon available

Hi all,

What is the highest possible resistivity of Silicon available currently ? Is 20 KOhm-cm is realistic or can it go even higher ?

Why don't we use intrinsic silicon? It seems to be the one with the highest resistivity?

I guess because the intrinsic silicon need to be doped to form MOSFET.
