A way to launch evanescent waves in MWS?

is there a way to launch an evanescent wave (inhomogeneous plane wave) in to the computational domain in MWS? such an feature would be quite usefull if one wants to analyze the contribution of homogeneous and inhomogeneous (evanescent waves) to the near field and far field (seperately) radiation properties.
