Hi,
I want to design a microstrip line with characteristic impedance 50Ohm. The solution type I use is driven terminals, but the simulation result of filed pattern is incorrect. As I change the solution type to driven modal, the field pattern is what I expect. What is the difference between the two solution types?Which one is correct?
The second problem is about how to simulate the characteristic impedance of coplanar waveguide?Based on the "driven terminal",I would use three terminal lines points from the bottom to conductor surfaces.I need to add a new pair of terminal lines to simulate the differential Zo,but the terminal line can be used only once. How should I do?
The sizing of waveport is critical. Is there any suggestions about the size of waveport?
As you do the simulations, how do you make sure that the simulation results is correct?
Thanks for your help.
Sincerely,Jslee:D
