Is there a way to detect an ongoing electricution?

A few days ago, while repairing an old musical valved amplifier, somehow while lifting the unit with both hands, I got a nastyshock. Both hands stuck on the amplifier, and no way to let go. Fortunately a fellow technician saw the event and pulled the power plug out. The outcome was a burn on two fingers. No other visual or internal problems. But I was in this state for aprroximately 10-12 seconds ! .
Now, besides the normal leakage circuit-breakers, is there a way to detect the stress on the human body while in this state?
May it be by electromagnetic or IR detection or any other means.
Any relative information would be much apreciated.
