measure conductor lenght by VNA

I have conductor printed on PCB.
How can I use Netowrk Analyzer to get its length ?
I try to teminal open and measure S11.
But I don't know how to observe ?

The electrical_length=1/2*phase(S11)*1/360*c/f
The physical_length=sqrt(Eeff)*electrical_length

All this assumes your reference plane is after the coax to trace transistion. An open may have too much fringing capacitance so you may want to try a short, but then yoiu have inductance. You should plot this as a function of f to see how it changes (ideally it should not).

If you have time domain option in your VNA it's easier
You can see discontinuities, on the line by measuring the diff. in the VNA
compare it to real distance measurement. and you will get the Dielectric constant.
in tha new PNA you get it auto.

nice to know we can measure length with VNA. I've started using VNA. thanx for the info. is that based on reflectometry.?
